External parasites are a common cause of irritation and stress in aquarium fish, often showing up as flashing, rubbing, or scratching against tank surfaces. Aquasonic Paragone Tablets are formulated to assist in the control of external fish parasites in both freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
This treatment is designed to help manage infestations such as Fish Lice (Argulus spp.), Gill and Skin Flukes (Ergasilus spp.), and Anchor Worms (Lernaea spp.), which can cause ongoing discomfort and health decline if left untreated.
By targeting external parasites, Paragone Tablets support fish recovery when used as part of a proper treatment and aquarium management routine.
It is important to note that this product is intended for external parasitic conditions only and is not effective against fungal, bacterial or viral diseases.
Suitable for freshwater aquariums and marine fish. Not safe for saltwater crustaceans, shrimp and corals, please remove before treatment.

Important Notes:
- Do not use on marine invertebrates (including shellfish and anemones). Remove these species during treatment and return 5 days after the final dose.
- May adversely affect some species, including Plecostomus, Bristlenose catfish, and Metynnis (Silver Dollar–type fish).
Dosage & Administration:
- Use 1 tablet per 40 litres of aquarium water
DO NOT OVERDOSE
Treatment Schedule:
- Fish Lice & Gill Flukes: Repeat treatment every 7 days until infestation is resolved
- Anchor Worms: Repeat treatment every 5 days until all adult parasites are eliminated
- In cooler water (around 20°C), treatment intervals may extend to 12 days
During Treatment:
- Maintain water temperature around 25°C
- Maintain pH between 6.0 and 7.0
- Pre-dissolve tablets in a disposable cup before adding to the aquarium. A small amount of insoluble residue may remain — this is harmless to fish.
Tank Volume Calculation:
Length × Width × Water Height (cm) ÷ 1,000 = Litres
Note: A temporary white residue may be visible after dosing. This is normal and will dissipate with filtration and water changes.
