Blue Planet Snail Rid is a specialised treatment designed to control and eliminate unwanted snail infestations in freshwater aquariums. Snails are often introduced into aquariums on live plants or décor and, while small numbers may go unnoticed, their population can quickly grow if left unchecked.
Large snail populations can damage delicate plants, compete with fish for food, and contribute to declining water quality as waste levels increase. Snail Rid works to control these infestations and help restore balance to the aquarium environment.
Formulated with copper sulphate as the active ingredient, this treatment targets common pest snails in freshwater aquariums. When used as directed in suitable water conditions, it provides an effective way to reduce snail populations and prevent further outbreaks.
Before treatment, it is important to remove any snails or other invertebrates such as shrimp that you wish to keep, as this medication will affect all snails and shrimp that susceptible to copper, it is advised to do research on your kept species to see if they can withstand copper before treatment.
This product is intended for use in hard water aquariums only, as soft water conditions may increase sensitivity for fish.

Directions for use:
- Test aquarium water hardness before use and ensure carbonate hardness is above 50ppm
- This product is not suitable for use in soft water aquariums
- Remove any snails, shrimp and other invertebrates you wish to keep before commencing treatment
- Rinse new plants thoroughly before introducing them into the aquarium to help prevent re-infestation
- Snail eggs on plants may be removed by soaking plants in Snail Rid solution before introduction
- Ensure aquarium water is well aerated during treatment
Dosage:
Standard Dose:
- Use 1 mL per 4 litres of aquarium water
- Alternatively dose 5 mL per 20 litres of aquarium water
Repeat treatment after 3 days if required
DO NOT OVERDOSE

- 1 g/L Copper present as Copper Sulphate
Tank Volume Calculation:
Length × Width × Water Height (cm) ÷ 1,000 = Litres
