Most fish species will eat their own eggs given the chance, and eggs left exposed on the substrate or tank glass are vulnerable to fungus, poor water flow, and damage from other tank inhabitants.
The Floating Aquarium Egg Collector solves this by giving egg-laying fish a dedicated spawning site that mimics natural aquatic plants, encouraging natural spawning behaviour while making it easy to collect and separate eggs before they're at risk. The soft fibre strands are gentle on delicate eggs and won't cause damage during collection, and the floating design keeps the collector in the water column where many small egg-laying species naturally prefer to spawn.
Each set includes 10 collectors with assorted coloured rings (red, orange, yellow, green, and blue) so you can colour-code batches by spawn date, species, or pairing, making it easy to track multiple spawns at once without mixing them up. Collectors can be floated freely or hung in the tank depending on your preference.
