The Dynamic Power 3-in-1 Internal Filter does exactly what the name suggests, combining filtration, water circulation, and aeration in a single submersible unit.
Running at 600 litres per hour on just 8 watts, this model is suited to aquariums up to 50 litres. The three-in-one design means it handles mechanical and biological filtration through a built-in biochemical sponge, circulates water to prevent dead spots and maintain oxygen levels, and aerates the tank through an included air tube that draws air into the water flow. For smaller tanks, this removes the need for a separate air pump and air stone alongside your filter.
The unit attaches to the tank wall via suction cups, sits fully submerged, and is straightforward to install and maintain. The replaceable sponge means you're not replacing the whole unit when the media needs refreshing. Built from durable ABS and designed for long-term use in both freshwater and saltwater environments.

Internal filters are often overlooked in favour of external canisters, but for smaller tanks, breeding setups, and quarantine systems they're genuinely the better choice. They're simpler to set up, easier to maintain, and the three-in-one design means you're getting filtration, circulation, and aeration from a single unit at a very accessible price point.
Rinse the sponge in old tank water every 2 to 4 weeks depending on your fish load, never under tap water as chlorine will kill the beneficial bacteria living in the sponge. When the sponge eventually needs replacing, don't just swap it out straight away. Place the new sponge in your tank in a high flow area, or ideally right next to the filter, for a minimum of 2 weeks before replacing the old one. 3 to 4 weeks is safer. This process is known as seeding, the beneficial bacteria from your tank water and existing sponge colonise the new sponge over time. Once the new sponge is colonised you can remove the old one and place the new sponge in the filter. This protects your nitrogen cycle and prevents an ammonia spike that could stress or harm your fish. Always disconnect from power before removing the unit from the tank.
