Description:
Xtreme NICE® Pellets are a premium semi-floating fish food designed to provide a complete and balanced diet for a wide range of freshwater community fish and small cichlids. This formula focuses on naturally enhancing colour, while also supporting overall health, growth, and strong feeding response.
Unlike standard floating or sinking foods, these pellets are designed to behave as a semi-floating feed, with most pellets remaining at the surface while a portion slowly sinks through the water column. This allows fish at different levels of the aquarium to feed naturally, making it ideal for mixed community tanks where surface, mid-water, and bottom feeders are all present.
The recipe includes a blend of high-quality marine proteins such as krill, shrimp, and squid meal, combined with plant-based ingredients including spirulina and pea protein. This balanced combination helps support vibrant natural colouration, healthy growth, and efficient digestion.
The inclusion of spirulina, krill, and shrimp meal provides natural colour-enhancing compounds, helping bring out brighter and more intense colours in ornamental fish without relying on artificial additives. Highly digestible ingredients also help reduce waste production, contributing to better water quality over time.
These pellets are formulated to create a strong feeding response, making them suitable for both active community fish and more selective feeders. Their slow movement through the water column helps mimic more natural feeding behaviour, encouraging fish to actively hunt and feed.
In our own fish room, foods from the Xtreme range have proven to be reliable staples, and this formula would be a great all-round option for aquarists looking to support colour, health, and consistent feeding behaviour in their fish.
Suitable for regular daily feeding as part of a varied and balanced diet.
This formula can work with auto feeders! You can find them in our Auto Feeder Collection.
Diet & Compatibility:
Xtreme NICE® Pellets are designed as a complete and balanced diet for a wide range of freshwater community fish and small cichlids, supporting both daily feeding and long-term fish health.

Feeding Guide:
Feed only what your fish can consume within 1-4 minutes, removing any uneaten food if necessary to maintain good water quality.
For most aquariums, feeding a small amount twice daily or a larger amount once per day is more than sufficient. Many fish benefit from lighter feeding schedules, as this allows time for proper digestion and helps reduce common issues such as constipation, bloating, and internal blockages.
In our own fish room, we often feed a larger amount every 2–3 days rather than daily. This approach helps keep fish active, improves digestion, and supports long-term health, especially in species prone to digestive issues.
For fast-growing juveniles or fry, smaller portions daily may need to be offered more frequently if required, provided water quality is closely monitored.
As with all foods, adjust feeding frequency and portion size based on your fish species, tank size and filtration.
