Stage 1, Mechanical Filtration: Three foam discs trap debris and suspended particles, reducing organic waste while building surface area for beneficial bacteria.
Stage 2, Biological Filtration: Water flows through bio-balls where bacterial colonies break down ammonia and nitrites into less harmful nitrates.
Stage 3, UV Clarification: The 11W UV globe targets free-floating algae and microscopic organisms including bacteria, viruses, and mould. UV light renders these organisms inactive and unable to reproduce, delivering visibly clearer water and helping to keep your fish disease free. (Mechanical and biological filtration continue even if UV power is interrupted.)
The filter is made from weather-resistant ABS, is waterproof, and can be partially buried up to the lid for a discreet finish. It can also be configured as a decorative fountain to add movement and oxygenation to your pond.

Always rinse biological media in old tank or pond water, never tap water, to preserve your beneficial bacteria colonies.
